Laundry does not always fit a 9-to-5 day. If you work nights, get off a late shift, or just need to get a load done after the kids are asleep, you need to know which laundromats are actually open. Four Wash House Laundry stores in the Kansas City metro are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This page lists which ones, what to expect at each, and how to pay.
Which Wash House stores are open 24 hours
These four locations are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:

| Buckner | 306 S Hudson St, Buckner, MO 64016 | No phone listed |

The other Wash House stores keep evening hours and are not open around the clock. Those are covered further down.
What 24-hour access means at each store
Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit and Gladstone each have an attendant on site from 8 AM to 8 PM every day. Outside those hours the store stays open and the machines stay available, but no attendant is on site.
Buckner works differently. It is an unattended, coin-operated laundry that is open at any hour, with no attendant at any time of day. If you plan to use Buckner, bring coins.
Paying at 2 AM: the Dexter Pay app or coins

Wash House stores take two kinds of payment, and neither requires a preloaded laundry card.
- Dexter Pay app. The free Dexter Pay app starts machines and pays for your laundry from your phone. It works at Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit and Gladstone. Each store has its own store number in the app: Blue Springs is #881, Lee’s Summit is #6766 and Gladstone is #4573. The full list is on the Dexter Pay page.
- Coins. Every Wash House store takes coins, and Wash House says change machines on site dispense dollar coins and quarters.
- ATMs. Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit and Gladstone each list an ATM on site. Buckner does not have one.
Buckner is the one 24-hour store that does not use Dexter Pay. It is coins only, so bring quarters before you go.
What fits in one trip

The stores run large-capacity washers, which Wash House says handle comforters, blankets and oversized loads. Washers cost between $3.75 and $15.75 depending on machine size, and prices vary a little by store. Dryers cost 25 cents per 5 minutes. Every machine is marked on the front, so you see the exact price before you start. Prices are current as of this writing and can change.
Stores that close in the evening
Three other Wash House stores are not open 24 hours:
- Sugar Creek, 11222 E US Hwy 24: Monday to Friday 7 AM to 11 PM, Saturday and Sunday 6 AM to 11 PM.
- Susquehanna (Independence), 17309 E US Hwy 24: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 10 PM, Saturday and Sunday 7 AM to 10 PM.
- Sterling Ave (Kansas City), 4004 Sterling Ave: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 10 PM, Saturday and Sunday 8 AM to 11 PM.
At the stores that are not open 24 hours, the last load goes in at 8:30 PM so everything finishes before close. Sterling Avenue’s last load is 9:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday. If you are heading out after 8:30 PM, use one of the four 24-hour stores above.
